Ultrasound Program Overview SmartSound Ultrasound, Inc.® offers a three (3) day program in advanced thyroid and neck ultrasound imaging at The Santa Monica Thyroid Diagnostic Group Center.

Description
This is a combined lecture and “hands on” program designed to familiarize the selected attendees with all aspects of

medical diagnostic imaging

and interventional ultrasound procedures including parathyroid identification, lymph node assessment, PEI (percutaneous ethanol injection) technique, recurrent thyroid cancer evaluation, color Doppler applications and general FNA biopsy performance with ultrasound guidance. Also take part in a rare chance to review biopsy slides with Dr. Richard B. Guttler.
Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of

ultrasound imaging

and completion of the AACE, “Thyroid Ultrasound and FNA Biopsy Accreditation Course”® are prerequisites for attendance consideration.
Limitations
Due to space limitations and the allowed number of attendees, this course is restricted to physicians only.

Registration
A total of (2) attendees will be accepted for each scheduled week. Applicants will be considered on a first come first serve basis, subject to satisfactory compliance with the course prerequisite criteria. For submission, complete the application form and fax to: 407-889-2026. Notification of acceptance or denial will be forwarded in writing no later than 30 days prior to the commencement date of the course.

Course Director and Instructor
The Course Director is Richard B. Treadwell, B.S.,R.D.M.S., Jackie Kaddatz, R.D.M.S.

Application Fee
The course tuition is $2,150 which includes all lectures and hands-on training time. Payment can be made by check or credit card to SmartSound Ultrasound, Inc.®. Please note that given the limited attendee registration, a cancellation within two weeks prior to the course will result in a forfeiture of 50% of the tuition fee.
